Why the oil doesn't sting and what it has been traditionally used for.

Does the nettle skin oil burn on the skin?

No. The stinging hairs of the fresh plant are rendered ineffective during drying and extraction — none of that remains in the finished oil. It feels like any other plant oil.

Can the oil also be used for the scalp?

Yes — traditionally, nettle oil is massaged into the scalp and left to absorb before washing. A few drops are sufficient, otherwise it will take several rounds to wash out.

What does the nettle skin oil smell like?

Green and herbal, similar to freshly cut hay. The scent comes solely from the plant and the carrier oil — no fragrance has been added. After absorption, it largely dissipates.

How long does 30 ml last?

At approximately half a milliliter per application, that is around 60 applications. After opening, the oil should be used up within a few months, as it contains no preservatives.
